Synchronous Multiple Gastric Cancer: Triple Cancer

Abstract
Diagnostic criteria for synchronous multiple gastric cancer are; Leach lesion must be of pathologically proved malignancy; 2 each lesion must be seperated by intervals of microscopically normal gastric wall; 3 the possibility that one of the
lesions
respresents a local extension or metastatic tumor must be ruled out beyond any reasonable doubt. According to above criteria, the incidence of synchronous multiple gastric cancer is variously reported to be 2.07%, 5.22%, 0.5%, or 8.6% and has
been
increasing recently, probably with advances in the diagnosis of gastric cancer. More than two thirds of synchronous multiple gastric cancers are early gastric cancer with small sizes. A surgeon must not forget the possibilities of these small
synchronous lesions during evaluation for gastric cancer. We experienced two cases of triple gastric cancer recently those who were diagnosed as double gastric cancer preoperatively.
